About Judy Wollin

Author of action-adventure stories for readers aged 8–12 years and the young at heart

Judy Wollin, author
Brisbane, Australia

Judy Wollin is an Australian author who writes action-adventure stories for children aged 8–12 years — and the young at heart. Her books are fast-paced, culturally rich, and designed to hook even the most reluctant readers.

Judy's writing journey began with a deep love of storytelling and a passion for connecting young readers with the wider world. Growing up in Australia, she was drawn to stories that moved quickly, felt real, and took readers somewhere unexpected.

After spending years working in education and developing a keen understanding of what makes children want to read, Judy began writing the kinds of books she wished had existed when she was young — stories full of speed, courage, and adventure, set in landscapes that feel both exotic and alive.

Her Speed series follows young protagonists through heart-pounding challenges in the UAE desert, the skies above the Arabian Peninsula, and the mysterious waters of a haunted island. Each book is crafted to be accessible and engaging, with short chapters and vivid action that keeps pages turning.

Judy is based in Brisbane, Australia, and regularly visits schools to share her love of reading and writing with students. She believes every child deserves a story that makes them feel seen — and that the right book at the right moment can change a reader's life.

Eman Alblooshi

A prominent Emirati author, educator, and mother of seven from Abu Dhabi, UAE, Eman Alblooshi has made a lasting impact on her nation's education landscape.

She earned a degree in English literature from UAE University, and in 1982 was one of the first Emiratis employed as an English teacher. Her passion for education led her to teach English to young learners in state schools, and she excelled as an English teacher in ESL and as the Head of the English Language Training Center at Abu Dhabi Oil Company (ADNOC), emphasising linguistic proficiency and multicultural communication.

Eman was part of the inaugural team that founded Fatima College of Health Sciences, working closely with Professor Judy Wollin. Her dedication to student welfare and success ensured the availability of resources for students to excel in their academic pursuits.

Eman's passion is to share knowledge and empower individuals through education — a spirit that runs through every book she and Judy create together.
